In 1786, in Mantua, trade was liberalized and medieval guilds were suppressed; as a consequence the first sort of <strong>Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> have been founded. Napoleonic and Austrian domination affected government and society as well as the economy, in particular the organization of the Chamber. Only in 1926 the history of Mantuan Institution began to identify with the various <strong>Italian economic organizations<\/strong> that, in 1944, was official named: Board of Trade.
